Chairman Forth and Clyde Centre.
Chairman’s Message March 2021.
Hi, everyone I hope you are all well and keeping safe.
Forth and Clyde Centre held its first A.G.M. on 7th of March 2021 via a zoom meeting. I feel the meeting went very well under the circumstances and would like to thank everyone who attended and for supporting our centre. I am pleased to say that all positions on the Committee were filled.
Looking toward the future of our Centre I would like to take this opportunity to encourage any member who may be interested in joining the committee to please contact myself.
Over the past year covid 19 has dictated to us all when we can or cannot use our caravans/motorhomes so our season was extremely short and our 2020 rally programme was left in pieces. Hopefully you all managed to get away in your vans at some point, Robert and I visited St Andrews in August and Balmaha in October but that was cut short due to lockdown once again.
Our rally secretary is working hard putting together the 2022 rally programme so let’s hope this will go ahead, there is also a Scottish National and Club National planned for 2022. I would also urge you all to support the 2021 Forth and Clyde Centre rallies as they are still organised for later in the year.
The Committee has been working hard behind the scenes getting the Centre up and running, due to covid this has taken a lot longer than planned, but we did get everything organised and held a Zoom AGM all be it later than we expected. Hopefully, 2021 will be a better year for rallying for us all as there are encouraging signs for the future. I will continue to monitor the situation in accordance with advice from C.A.M.C governance and our Scottish Government.
I hope that we can all meet up on the rally field soon and we can come together and support each other and Forth and Clyde Centre. We are a new Centre and it needs you the member’s to make it a successful Centre, by supporting the rallies and promoting Forth and Clyde Centre. I’m sure you all enjoy coming to the rallies where you meet up with old friends and welcome new friends, remembering we all have one thing we love in common –CARAVANING.
Robert and I would just like to wish you all the best for 2021 caravanning year and we look forward to meeting you all at some point on the rally field during the year, our caravan door is always open and a warm welcome awaits you all. Please look after yourselves and stay safe.
Love to you all.
Forth and Clyde Centre.
Chairman's Christmas Message
On behalf of Forth and Clyde Committee and myself I would just like to wish all our Forth and Clyde members, plus all our friends and fellow ralliers, a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New year. We hope to see you all at some point on the rally field in 2021.
Season Greetings to you all and stay safe.
Forth and Clyde Centre
Hi everyone, I hope you are all well and keeping safe.
Like Robert and I, I am sure you all will be missing your caravan/motorhome weekends, but hopefully soon we will be able to rally once again meeting up with old and new friends.
As you will all know Forth and Clyde is the newest centre in Scotland and in its fledging year. It has been hit by covid19 and its turned out to be a very difficult start, trying to launch our new centre, with its rally programme decimated and only our 1st rally run to date.
At present I am working towards promoting our centre through SCC website plus our own Facebook/Website pages which are on social media. This has been difficult under the present circumstances.
Our A.G.M rally at Linwater C.P still has not been cancelled like wise Lagganbeg and also our New Year rally at Peebles, for information see your handbook.
I will continue to monitor this situation in accordance with advice from CAMC Governance and our Scottish Government.
As I mentioned before our A.G.M will be on the 5th September 2020 and if anyone is interested in joining the committee please contact me direct, my number is in the handbook. All Nominations have to be in to the Forth and Clyde Secretary by 2pm Saturday the 22nd August 2020.
I hope this situation continues to improve and we will manage to get away in our caravans/motorhomes for a well deserved break.
Please, everyone look after yourselves and stay safe. Robert and I hope to meet up with you very soon.
Best Wishes to you all.
Val Brownlee : Chairman - Forth & Clyde Centre.
Hello everyone and welcome to the new website of the SCC Forth and Clyde Centre.
My name is Val Brownlee and I am the 1st Chairman of the new Scottish Centre, SCC Forth and Clyde.
I have by my side, my husband Robert, whose support will be invaluable to me throughout my time as Chairman, over the next 2 years.
I also have an amazing Committee, and I am looking forward to working with them. I’m sure we will be able to overcome the challenges ahead, with the help and guidance of the C.A.M.C.
2019 was a very busy year going through the process of the amalgamation, which eventually joined the two oldest Centres in Scotland, (West & East) to form one new Centre, called the SCC Forth & Clyde Centre.
We hope, as a centre, we can encourage more members to rally with us throughout the year. Rallying is great fun for all the family. Any members who have not rallied before, should come along and give it a try. A very warm welcome awaits you from the rally teams and other members of the SCC Forth & Clyde Centre.
A list of rallies and contact details will be on our Web page, Facebook page and Scottish Caravan Club pages. Also, you will receive our club handbook through the post around the end of February. We look forward to meeting you all, so please come and support us, to make the SCC Forth and Clyde Centre, a very successful 2020 rallying year. It is down to us all to help take the new centre forward. There will be exciting times ahead.
Robert and I look forward to seeing you all at the forthcoming rallies and other social events throughout 2020.
